Abstract Propositions

Abstract Submission Process

Name and email address of the presenting author • Names of all authors • Affiliations of all authors • The full title of your abstract • Body of your abstract must not exceed 400 words for Original Study or 200 words for Case report

Abstracts must be submitted online via the Abstract Submission Portal

  • All abstractsand presentations must be submitted in English.
  • Abstracts must include the names, surnames, and institutions of all authors with presenting author underlined.
  • Abstracts must not exceed 400 words (excluding the title, authors, and affiliations) and follow the instructions within the abstract submission portal.
  • Abstract title and author information is not to be included in the body of the abstract.
  • The fonts you will use to submit your abstract is determined by the system by default for all abstracts. It is not possible to use another font.
  • Use a capital letter for the first letter of the title only (DO NOT capitalize each word).
  • One illustration and two tables could be included. Tables and pictures must be in jpg format.
  • Multiple abstract submissions are permitted.
  • Commercial presentations are not permitted.
  • The use of abbreviations and acronyms should be kept to a minimum.
  • Authors will be notified about the receipt of their abstract by e-mail immediately.

  • Notification of acceptance/rejection will be emailed within February 15, 2023. If you do not receive notification of the status of your abstract by this date, please email abstract@wcpag2023.org
  • All decisions by the Abstract Committee are final. Abstracts without clear relevance to paediatric and adolescent gynaecology will not be accepted. Additionally, abstracts of work previously published or under review as a manuscript in any journal will not be accepted. Reviewer scores are not provided to the authors.
  • Please note that abstract will only be published in the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (JPAG) if at least one of the authors of the paper is registered before December 12, 2022.

Requirement for publication in JPAG Proceedings of WCPAG 2023

Abstracts chosen for either an oral presentation or poster will be published in the online issue of Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (JPAG) a few weeks prior the congress.

If you do not attend WCPAG 2023 and personally present your abstract or poster your submission will not be published in the online Proceedings via JPAG.

Abstracts previously submitted for presentation at other meeting

Previously submitted abstracts may not be published in JPAG depending on copyright permissions. For abstracts accepted for presentation at the WCPAG 2023, if previously submitted to another meeting:

  • If abstract was rejected from other meeting, no additional permissions/information needed.
  • If abstract was accepted and will be presented at the other meeting prior to the WCPAG 2023, the author is responsible for obtaining permission for abstract publication in JPAG. Without such permission, the abstract may not be published in JPAG. Permission must be submitted during the abstract submission window.
  • If abstract was accepted or pending presentation at another meeting which will take place after the WCPAG 2023, the abstract will be published in JPAG. The author is responsible for verifying that presentation at WCPAG 2023 and publication in JPAG is acceptable for the other meeting.

Poster or Oral presentation or Video Data

All submitted abstracts will be considered for oral presentation unless the author designates “Poster Only” in the abstract category section. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be considered for poster presentation.

  • Posters will be available during poster sessions and will be displayed for an extended period of time during the congress to allow for attendees to fully peruse the research. To be considered for an award, authors must submit their poster for review by March 23, 2023. Authors must also attend the poster session in the breaks to which they are assigned and be prepared to discuss their work.

Detailed instructions for preparation of oral or poster presentations will be included with abstract acceptance notification

Only abstracts submitted in a timely manner will be considered for publication in JPAG

Rules for participation in WCPAG2023

The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following rules for participation in WCPAG Congress 2023

  • All author(s) approve submitting this work for presentation.
  • The author(s) transfer(s) all copyright ownership of the named abstract to WCPAG Congress 2023.
  • The author(s) agree(s) to materially confine their presentations to information in the abstract if accepted for presentation. If an author has more than one abstract accepted, each presentation will be materially confined to the information in the abstract selected for the specific session.
  • The presenting author will be available to present the abstract if selected for the program. The presenting author will immediately notify the WCPAG Congress 2023 Secretariat if they are unable to present an abstract or if the presenting author changes.
  • Submission of the contact details provided are those of the presenter of the abstract. He/she will be notified about the status of the abstract and is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.
  • Submission of the abstract constitutes consent of all authors of the abstract to publication (e.g, WCPAG website, programs, other promotions).
  • All authors of the abstract warrant and represent that they either are the sole owners of, or have all necessary rights to, sublicense all the information and content in the abstract provided to WCPAG and its WCPAG organizers, and that publication of the abstract does not infringe any rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights, or of any third parties.
  • All authors of the abstract grant WCPAG a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute and display the abstract.
  • All authors of the abstract grant exclusive permission to WCPAG to record the audio and video portion, if any, of the abstract presentation at the Congress and to collect and retain all revenues from all rebroadcasts (including web broadcasts), sales and publications of such recordings.
  • WCPAG reserves the right to remove from any publication any abstract that does not comply with the above.
