Dr Dan Apter is the Director of VL-Medi Clinical Research Centre. From 1997 until end of 2015, he was the Chief Physician at The Sexual Health Clinic, Väestöliitto (Family Federation of Finland) in Helsinki, Finland. Dr Apter specialised in obstetrics & gynecology and endocrinology. He is also a docent at Helsinki University. His areas of interest in both research and clinical practice include sexual health and contraception, human papillomavirus, the endocrinology of puberty and the development of polycystic ovary syndrome. Kristina Gemzell Danielsson is professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Head of the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health at Karolinska Institutet (KI), and senior consultant at the Karolinska University Hospital. A Prof Yasmin Jayasinghe (FRANZCOG, PhD) is a paediatric gynaecologist, Director of the Oncofertility Program at The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, and Winter Glover Translational Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. She was founding chair of the Fertility Preservation Taskforce in Victoria who in partnership with consumers pioneered new tools, guidance and models of oncofertility care in 2013. Her team have been recognize as finalists in: the Vic Health Awards (research into action) for facilitating equitable access to oncofertility care for Victorian children in 2019; the Australian Nurse of the Year awards for family-centred care through nurse navigation in 2020; and three statewide Young Achiever Awards for oncofertility innovation and leadership. Dr Jayasinghe was awarded the Strategic Grant for Outstanding Women by the University of Melbourne and Royal Womens Hospital for building a learning healthcare system in oncofertility (2019); was a state finalist in the Telstra Women's Business Awards recognising 'outstanding women who disrupt the way we do business' (2020), and was a finalist for the Australian Human Rights Medal for pioneering the protection of the reproductive rights of children (2021). She is the founding Chair of the Australian New Zealand Consortium in Paediatric Oncofertility (ANZCO), and principal investigator of the binational ANZCO clinical trials network recently awarded a federal grant for 'Life Saving and Job Creating Medical Research'. Sandra Pekic MD, PhD is Professor of Internal Medicine at Belgrade University School of Medicine and is working at the Dept of Neuroendocrinology, Endocrinology Clinic, University Clinical Center, Belgrade for 27 years. Dr Pekic has received a medical degree from Belgrade University School of Medicine. She is a certified specialist of Internal medicine and subspecialist of Endocrinology. Professor Pekic is an active member of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) and she lectured as a symposia speaker for European Congress of Endocrinology. She is also member of ENEA and an active member of the Endocrine Section of the Serbian Medical Association. Professor Pekic has published more than 70 peer-reviewed original papers and chapters in books. She is an important investigator for the research grant funded by the Ministry of Science Serbia since 1995. Her research includes investigations in the field of pituitary adenomas and hypopituitarism. She is also involved as principal investigator in Clinical Research Studies on new molecules for diagnosing GH deficiency and new treatments for Acromegaly and Cushing´s disease.
Professor Ellen Rome currently serves as the Head of the Center for Adolescent Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Children’s and is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case. She is among the first in the US to be board certified in Adolescent Medicine, graduating magna cum laude from Yale in 1984, obtained her medical degree at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in 1988, then completed residency in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins, followed by a three year fellowship in adolescent medicine at Children’s Hospital, Boston. He graduated from the University of Athens Medical School in June of 1989 with Honors.
Immediately following, he served for 2 years as a Second Lieutenant in the Hellenic Military Air force.
Following the completion of his military service and his medical service in underserved areas in Greece, he was accepted by the State University of New York, where he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology (1992-1997) and became Board Certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1997 Dr. Vlahos was accepted as a fellow by the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore USA, where he trained for three years in order to attain the subspecialty in Reproductive Endocrinology.

In July of 1999 the University of Johns Hopkins offered Dr. Vlahos the position of Lecturer in Reproductive endocrinology. In the year 2000 following written and oral exams he became Board Certified as a Reproductive Endocrinologist.
